Performance Coaching

If you enjoy watching, or participating in sport, you will have noticed sports people undergoing various physical and mental ‘warm ups’.

Ask yourself the following questions and see how many you answer yes to?

  • Do you perform much better in practice than during competition?
  • Do you have a tough time performing well when others are watching you?
  • Do you maintain many doubts about your sport before or during games?
  • Do you feel anxious or scared when you perform in competition?
  • Are you not sure why you play your sport or what motivates you?
  • Do you attach your self worth to your ability to perform?
  • Do you lose your focus or have mental lapses during critical times of the game
  • Do you find that after an injury and you are physically 100% recovered, you are unable to perform the way you did pre-injury?
  • Do you simply wish to improve your mental attitude or performance?

In any given sport the power of the mind can never be underestimated, in golf this becomes even greater.

Through a series of one-to-one personal Performance Coaching sessions, Junior Golf Academy students start to undergo a series of ‘mental rehearsals’ that enhance their total performance.

Through engaging all of our senses, the mind can start to rehearse the desired moves and attitudes needed to keep at peak performance, or add that ‘boost’ at a critical time in the game.

As part of the Performance Coaching programme you will have your own ‘Personal Action Plan’ that is your ‘roadmap’ for your own self-development. At each coaching session past objectives, actions and improvements are discussed and on going self-development objectives set for the future.  This Personal Action Plan fits precisely into the work carried out with the Golf coaches, Fitness coaches, Nutritionists and education tutors.
